Stock Market Holiday: The stock market in India will remain closed on Thursday for Eid-Ul-Fitr. Both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will be closed on April 11 for Eid-Ul-Fitr and on April 17 for Ram Navami, according to information provided by the respective exchanges.
As per the exchanges’ holiday calendar, trading across various segments will be suspended for the entire day. Meanwhile, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will observe a closure for the morning session on Eid-Ul-Fitr, with operations resuming in the evening. MCX typically operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, followed by an evening session, either until 11:30 PM or 11:55 PM.
There are total 10 non-trading days in April, including weekends and stock market holidays, leaving investors with 20 trading days. The trading on domestic stock exchanges is set to resume on April 12, 2024, with a pre-opening session starting at 9:00 AM and trading kicking off at 9:15 AM.
