Zilingo’s Ex-CEO Ankiti Bose Case: Lawsuit Filed in HC Against Dhruv Kapoor, Aadi Vaidya for Alleged Defamation
A fresh suit has been filed in the Bombay High Court against Dhruv Kapoor and Aadi Vaidya over accusations of defamation and spreading misleading information about Ankiti Bose, the former CEO of Zilingo. The development came soon after an FIR was filed against them. While Dhruv Kapoor is co-founder, Aadi Vaidya serves as COO at Zilingo.
According to a statement from the law firm representing Bose, Dhruv and Aadi have been allegedly spreading false news about Bose, thus putting her reputation at stake. Monika Tanna, partner at Singhania and Co, said in a statement that accountability should be fixed in the matter and integrity and truthfulness should be upheld in public discourse.
This legal action serves as a reminder of the consequences of spreading false information and defaming individuals in the public domain. The Bombay High Court’s intervention in this matter underscores the seriousness with which allegations of defamation and misinformation are being addressed, emphasizing the importance of adherence to legal and ethical standards in public communication. As the legal proceedings unfold, stakeholders await the court’s verdict with anticipation, hoping for a resolution that upholds justice and accountability for all parties involved.
Earlier, Ankiti Bose, the co-founder and former CEO of Zilingo, had filed a complaint against Dhruv Kapoor and Aadi Vaidya. She had levelled allegations of cheating, criminal intimidation, conspiracy and harassment against them.
Bose in her complaint alleged that the duo employed offensive language, sent sexually explicit messages from untraceable accounts, and threatened her with online targeting, suggesting they would push her to a point of suicidal thoughts. Bose was removed from her position in May 2022
